What are keyhole lips?
One of the injection techniques that patients are looking for is the “Keyhole Lip”. This is where the lips are filled with a small gap in the center of the lips where the top and bottom lip meet that looks like a “keyhole”. This look is also referred to as “the keyhole technique” or “keyhole pout.”
Lip fillers (and lip flip)are one of the most popular types of dermal filler. They increase the volume of your lips with just a few simple injections. Right now lip filler is all the rage, particularly with women under 55.
Lip fillers are injections that add volume to your lips. They’re a type of dermal filler. Lip fillers consist of hyaluronic acid (HA) which is a natural substance in your body. This makes it perfect to enhance the lips because it isn’t a foreign substance. Today there are many different brands of lip fillers, including

Lip fillers consist of synthetic hyaluronic acid (HA) — HA is a natural substance in your body. There are many different brands of lip fillers, including Juvederm, Restylane, Teosyal Kiss, Volbella and countless others. Each brand has their own creation process, brand secrets but basically all are somewhat the same and most patients like each brand for personal reason.
People who get lip fillers want to increase the size of their lips. You might want to enlarge the size of your lips for many simple reasons, including:
Since 2018 Lip Fillers have just boomed in the aesthetics industry. 2.1 million procedures were performed that year alone. This means this is a common and well documented procedure.
The FDA states that most lip fillers last 12-18 months but this depends on age, lifestyle factors and many other things. The best results from fillers are normally in the first 6 months.
When thinking about lip filler, it’s important to imagine how you will look with larger lips. Many people say “Think about getting a new haircut. You may show your hairstylist a photograph to give them an idea of how you’d like your hair to look. However, your hairstylist might tell you that your hair won’t look like the photograph because of your hair texture, hairline, volume or length. You may want your lips to look like a celebrity’s lips, but it might not be achievable because your face shape and features are unique.”

The Treatment
During a lip filler procedure Victory Wellness will apply a topical anesthetic to your lips. The anesthetic will numb your lips so you won’t feel any pain and the process is as comfortable as possible. After about 15-30 minutes of numbing you should be ready.
The Victory Wellness Master Injector will then use a thin needle to inject lip filler into any or all parts of your lips, including the edges of your lips (vermillion border), the curve in the center of your upper lip (Cupid’s bow) and your oral commissures (corners of your mouth). You won’t feel any pain, but you may feel a pinching sensation, and your eyes may water.
After The Treatment
These tips will help your lips heal perfectly:
How Are Lip Thread Lifts Done?
A plastic surgeon or dermatologist does a lip thread lift by putting threads through the skin next to the lip line with a long tube called a cannula.
How Do Lip Thread Lifts Work?
Your body absorbs the barbed sutures over a few months. They trigger your body to make collagen where the lip threads are inserted.
As we age, our faces begin to lose volume – leading to the appearance of sagging skin and wrinkles. This includes our lips. Lips start to lose definition, look less plump, and fine lines around our mouths start to form. Two popular treatments to help restore youthfulness back into our lips are Lip Filler, and the Lip Flip. But how do you know which treatment is right for you? Check out our breakdown below.
Lip Flip
Alternatively, a new popular cosmetic treatment for the lips is the Lip Flip. The Lip Flip uses Botox or Dysport – which are neuromodulators (yes – the same Botox you get in your forehead!), to relax the orbicularis muscle in the top lip. By injecting Botox or Dysport in this muscle, the top lip is encouraged to relax and ‘flip’ outwards to give the illusion of a subtle, fuller lip. It is a popular choice for those wanting to correct a gummy smile, or for someone who doesn’t want to add volume.
Lip Fillers
Fillers, such as Juvederm and Restylane work to treat these fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of volume in the face. Both Juvederm and Restylane are hyaluronic acid fillers, which is a naturally occurring molecule found in our bodies. HA (hyaluronic acid) helps to restore moisture and volume to the skin. When filler is injected directly to the lips and Vermillion border, it creates volume and brings back definition, leading to a fuller, poutier lip while still producing a soft, natural appearance.
